Hello
Everyone,
This post is way over due but here my
photoshoot with my model “Lily Rose”. Just like the studio photoshoot I did
with her I decided I would take some photos of her in different outfits, but
like I mentioned in my post about my front cover I had to take photos in her garden.
For the first outfit my model is wearing the flower crown I made ( a previous blog) and a simple blue dress which
originally had a little belt on with a blue bow on but I decided to take it off
as it didn't think it fit the genre.
She’s
just wearing some white converse. I chose her to wear these instead of heels or
trainers because It makes the look a lot more casual and fits my genre a lot
more.
The phone box behind her reminds me of pintrest and the vintage parts of tumblr. As they're quite rare and unique so I think that gives a very indie vibe to the image.
Another outfit I put together
for her was her acid wash denim shorts a simple black top and a check shirt.
I
wanted her to wear this outfit because it reminds me of Jake Bugg as its very
alternative especially with the shirt.
She’s
wearing trainers to make it look very casual and that she’s more about the
music rather than all the fashion etc associated with female artists.
The ivy in the background is my favourite part of this image as it really fits the genre and adds to the colour and vibe of this image making my model stand out. Also in my initial ideas I wanted to take photos in the forest/woods and this was the best I could get for my rough cut.
The final look is a little
black dress (which I now realise is incredibly short)
She’s wearing
the flower crown again because I wasn’t 100% sure which dress I preferred it
with.
She’s
wearing her Jeffery Campbell heels because I wanted it to look like she was
going on a night or to something formal e.g. Awards
The clock on the left hand side of this image really works and I think it adds something special to the image as well as fitting with the genre of vintage and "hipster"
I like
all of these outfits because they reflect all angles of the genre and the
different sides of my artist “Lily Rose” showing she’d about the music but also
wants to dress up and have the glamour side of fame. I like these images I'm just not happy that its in her garden so I will be re-taking my images ready for my final cut.
Here's a short video of some of the images taken on this photoshoot
