Feedback

Blog 37
Hello Everyone,
I received my target audience feedback yesterday so today I am going to look at how it will help me improve my magazine for my final piece.
My front cover was my weakest area in my magazine project so it needs a lot of improving. My target audience has given me some specific things to focus on. I need to fill the empty space, although my photo takes up the entire page it still looks quite simple and not as busy as Q or NME’s front covers. Quite a few people told me to make my text larger and make everything bolder so I am going to make my title a lot bigger so it fills more of the page. Also I need to add the basics such as; date, price and a bar code. I am going to be retaking my images so it will be easier to place text around the image.
My contents page was really liked by my target audience which is always a good thing. However, there were still some specific areas to improve on. Again I need to fill the empty space so I will make the images slightly larger and move them up slightly filling the white space at the top of the page, and I will make the title larger and bolder again filling the empty space at the top of the page. I am going to swap the images around so there’s more of a balance between photos on location and in the studio.
Finally for my double page spread a lot of people said they liked the layout and the article however there is still some things I need to improve on. The most occurring thought was that my main image wasn't very interesting and a lot like my front cover so I am going to retake the photo in a different location which is more interesting. Again I need to think about the basics and need to add a page number. Finally my subtitle isn't very clear so I will make the text bolder and maybe move the position of it slightly.
Overall I got a lot of positive feedback and people seemed to really like my magazine which is a really good sign at this stage of the project. This information I have gathered will really help me improve my magazine.
